BECOME A VOLUNTEER
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the volunteer application and send it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in training our horses please state in an inquiry email or on your volunteer application. State any experience and riding abilities.
DUE TO SAFETY REASONS, NOT ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE ABLE TO RIDE or TRAIN THE HORSES. The senior trainer will make this determination. However, we will work with you and your abilities and welcome you to help join in the training process.
Click on title to find our current barn rules. Please note that children aged 8-15 are able to volunteer only if a parent or guardian is present. You may be asked to leave if you repeatedly ignore barn rules and/or participate in activities that put horses or humans at risk.
Thank you from all of us at Sunshine Horses.
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We are always in need of volunteers, and encourage you to contact us if interested. Whether you wish to clean stalls, brush horses, help with a fundraiser, or coordinate a special event, we welcome you!
There are plenty of opportunities both at the farm and behind the scenes to help out. Volunteering is a great opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn more about horses and our organization. Our volunteers are from all walks of life with all sorts of abilities, from being lawyers to reiki practitioners, from college kids to retired couples and everything in between! We are an incredible and diverse family, and we would love to have you join us!
We also need volunteers for non-barn tasks like making phone calls, preparing mailings, fundraising, etc. Please fill out the volunteer application if you think you can help us in any capacity.
