Earlier this month, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County 4-H equine Clubs ("Blazing Stars") visited Sunshine and made a $200 donation. The club did a fundraising event as part of a community service project. They made shopping totes out of grain sacks and sold them to raise the funds. How cool is that!
Sunshine volunteers Anna, Ginny, Cindy and Kelcie met the club members and gave them a tour of our facility. Everyone was very impressed and had a great time! We look forward to working with Blazing Stars in the future. It's great to have such a motivated group of young people in our community.
Since 2009, Blazing Stars has been making a difference in our community. They are very active in the community and are always looking for ways to give back. As a group they have completed well over 150 hours of community service and show no signs of slowing down!
Thanks to volunteer Cindy Albro for setting this up and to these amazing girls and their families and leaders for supporting our mission.
