Le Moyne Science Technology Entry Program Visit
Le Moyne Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP)
Le Moyne STEP provides academic support, hands-on workshops, tutoring, and STEM career exploration for Syracuse City School District (SCSD) students.
This summer, they will be hosting 20 middle and high school students from early July to early August for a summer program.
Students will join Sunshine Horses for a day at the farm and will volunteer with many of the activities that are needed for the farm to run smoothly.

United Way Day of Caring
We are excited to host a group for United Way's Day of Caring, which is a large, one-day volunteer event where individuals and teams come together to help local nonprofits with various projects. It's a way to give back to the community and help organizations that need volunteer support. Thank you for United Way’s support!

ON Farm Fest 2025
The Onondaga Agriculture Council will hold the 9th annual ON Farm Fest on September 20th, 2025. Visitors will enjoy a free day of family-friendly fun as local farms across Onondaga County open for tours from 10am-3pm.
At ON Farm Fest, you’ll learn about life on Sunshine Horses Rescue Farm and discover the latest advances in agriculture. There will be food by PB&J Food Truck, live music, and horses!!

Sunshine Horses Strawberry Shortcake 4K and Open House
Sunshine Horses along with Willow Running will host our Annual Strawberry Shortcake 4K and Open House at our farm at 3721 VerPlank Road, Clay. The race will begin and end at the farm with strawberry shortcakes waiting at the end to be eaten!
There will be vendors, riding demonstrations, food, baskets, horses, and more! Come out and see who we are and learn about our mission while enjoying a day with your family and friends!

Syracuse Housing Authority: Relatives Acting as Parents
Syracuse Housing's RAPP program, (Relatives Acting as Parents), which meets two times a month (55 yrs and older) that are typically the primary caregivers for their grandchildren, nieces/nephews, and more will be joining us where the caregiver and the children they look after do an activity together, with a focus on experiential learning/bonding with some of our herd!
