Volunteers must complete an orientation where you will get a broad overview of Sunshine Horses, observe different skills needed for volunteering, and get set up with a shift to begin the adventure!
If you are interested in ‘schooling’ our horses please state in an inquiry email or on your volunteer application. Record any experience and riding abilities.

DUE TO SAFETY REASONS,
VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO BE APPROVED
BEFORE RIDING OR SCHOOLING THE HORSES.
The senior schooler will make this determination. We will work with you and your abilities and welcome you to help join in the training process.
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We are always in need of volunteers and encourage you to contact us if interested. Whether you wish to clean stalls, brush horses, help with a fundraiser, or coordinate a special event, we welcome you!
There are plenty of opportunities both at the farm and behind the scenes to help out. Volunteering is a great opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn more about horses and our organization. Our volunteers are from all walks of life, with all sorts of abilities, from being lawyers to reiki practitioners, from college kids to retired couples and everything in between! We are an incredible and diverse family, and we would love to have you join us!
