Description: Buttercup is estimated to be a mare between the ages of 12-15 that was surrendered to us with a body score of 2 and in bad need of a hoof trim.  She leads well but has anxiety when coming in or out of her stall due to her feed aggression issues. When you have been a very long time without a normal feeding schedule we can understand and are taking the time to help her adjust. Her rehab will be to put more weight on her and get her used to being handled, then we will start light ground work before we can consider her up for adoption.

Update: Buttercup is very willing to try new things when working with our schoolers. While lunging her over poles we have discovered she is gaited. We ran a DNA test on her and while she is quite the mix of breeds her largest % is Saddlebred. She is not yet started under saddle due to her hooves being in such bad shape as we would like to make sure she is understanding how to use her body correctly.
