Memory Care Corral

Sunshine horses welcomes the Memory Care Corral program

Memory Care Corral is a customized program for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

Guided sessions with horses provide both the individual with memory loss and their caregiver with therapeutic non-riding activities.

These 60 to 90 minute sessions reduce stress and enable participants to better communicate and support each other.

All activities are ground based(no riding) and no horse handling experience is necessary. All sessions are for both the individual with memory loss and their caregiver.

Activities include grooming, artwork, walking with horses, education about horses and gentle gentle chair-based exercises.

Pre-registration is required and the cost per session is $10 per person ($20 for the two participants.)
