EQUINE CLINIC FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS
All volunteers are invited to join Dawn Ellis, Dr. Emily, and the Sunshine Horses Board of Directors for an informative clinic focused on the health, care, and well-being of our herd. As the warmer months bring new opportunities and challenges, this is a great chance to stay up to date on what’s happening at the farm, learn more about our horses' care, and hear directly from board members during a Q&A session.
Whether you're a longtime volunteer or just getting involved, we encourage you to attend, ask questions, and connect with fellow members of the Sunshine family. We hope to see you there!

The last Saturday of every month from 11:45-1:00pm, children 8 and older are welcome with a parent or guardian. Learn about our mission and sign up to be a volunteer. See the sunshinehorses.org/volunteer for essential paperwork!
Please fill out the required paperwork prior to the meeting or come a little early to fill it our there.

Liverpool Public Library Story Time
The Liverpool Public Library, is inviting readers to come to Sunshine Horses to enjoy to pastimes. Horses and reading. Come and read to a horse or just sit quietly and enjoy the horses around you while you lose yourself in a good book!

HANCOCK ESTABROOK TEAM BUILDING WORK DAY!
We’re excited to welcome the employees from Hancock Estabrook, LLP for a day of volunteering at Sunshine Horses! From mucking stalls and painting to scrubbing walls and tackling farm projects, they’ll get a hands-on look at what it takes to keep our rescue running each day. Of course, the highlight will be spending time with the horses and experiencing the special connections that make this place so meaningful. We can’t wait to share a day on the farm with this amazing team! Thank you for your support!

ON Farm Fest 2026
The Onondaga Agriculture Council will hold the 10th annual ON Farm Fest on
September 19th, 2026. Visitors will enjoy a free day of family-friendly fun as local farms across Onondaga County open for tours from 10am-3pm.
At ON Farm Fest, you’ll learn about life on Sunshine Horses Rescue Farm and discover the latest advances in agriculture. There will be food by PB&J Food Truck, live music, and horses!!

Euro Car 2026
Euro Car of CNY will host their annual car show. Sunshine Horses will be there sharing some of our horse power too! We will have a table set up to share what we do. We welcome all visitors to come by and visit to learn more about us!

Sunshine Horses Strawberry Shortcake 4K and Open House
Sunshine Horses along with Willow Running will host our Annual Strawberry Shortcake 4K and Open House at our farm at 3721 VerPlank Road, Clay. The race will begin and end at the farm with strawberry shortcakes waiting at the end!
There will be vendors, riding demonstrations, food, baskets, horses, and more! Come out and see who we are and learn about our mission while enjoying a day with your family and friends!

Volney Elementary Earth Day Visit
Our volunteers will be joining other guests at Volney Elementary School in Fulton, NY to share information with the students on rescue and what Sunshine Horses does.
SUNY Oswego College Visit
Our horses will visit the students as they prepare for the final exams. Our horses will be there to give them a little break from the grind of studying!
