 Tito’s Story

Honeydont Hangover, aka Tito, arrived to us from the kill pen in July 2019. He is a 9 year old standardbred gelding. He was raced and Amished before finding his way to Sunshine Horses. He came to us underweight with severe rain rot and shoe boils. Despite all that he has been through, he has a wonderful personality and has slowly blossomed
during his recovery at Sunshine.
He has recently had some significant setbacks in his healing and is in need of more attention and a full health evaluation which will be very costly. Please consider donating to Tito’s recovery!
Thank you!

Although Tito has now passed over the Rainbow Bridge, we still have many horses that because of their past (whether it be racing or abuse), need significant care by the veterinarians.
Your donations will help horses who have serious needs, receive the veterinarian care they need.

With an incredibly generous donation from Sara and Eric Tallarico, we have been able to set up a special veterinary fund. This fund is in memory of our boy Pilgrim, an incredibly special horse who passed away after a long, happy life at Sunshine.

The Veterinary Fund is a separate account that will be used to help any horse who comes through our doors and needs special medical attention.

We hope to provide everything from injections to surgeries when required. We want to do everything we can to provide the best care for our horses and will do what we are able to in order to save a life.
