Description:  Mattie is one of the newest arrivals at Sunshine, and we are just beginning to learn more about her personality and potential. She came to us alongside her longtime companion, Savannah, who was returning to Sunshine. Because the two mares share a strong bond, we couldn't imagine welcoming Savannah back while leaving Mattie behind.

So far, Mattie has proven to be a sweet and friendly mare who is settling in well and making new friends within the herd. She is still very attached to Savannah and becomes anxious when she cannot see her companion, but with time, patience, and consistency, we expect her confidence to continue growing.

We are excited to get to know Mattie better as she settles into her new home and look forward to discovering all the wonderful things she has to offer.
